Greetings! My name is Tiffany Emerson and I am a native of South Carolina. I earned my undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Coker University and Secondary Education from Chadron State College. In 2004 I moved to Tucson, where I earned my master’s degree in Teaching and Teacher Education and Principal Certification from The University of Arizona. I am currently a doctoral student in Organizational Leadership and Change at Grand Canyon University. My research interests include grit and secondary trauma in K-12 building principals.

After serving 20 years in public education, 14 as a school site administrator, I am thrilled to join Higher Ground where I know our work supports schools and communities, providing services that are not available through traditional educational means.

When I am not working, I enjoy reading mystery novels, volunteering, spending time with my family and friends, and traveling. Also, I love cats!
