Thoroughly enjoying my role as Director of Communications for Higher Ground, I’m passionate about holistic wellness, making change, and living life to the fullest. Working closely with Tucson officials and community members to enrich the lives of students and their families is certainly a childhood dream come true.

I lived in Tucson until I was 13, and then my family relocated to rural Pennsylvania. After college, I taught 8th grade English in a Washington D.C. suburb and a coastal North Carolina community. The early stages of the pandemic made the inequities in education even more clear. I could no longer be part of a system that held these inequities against students and their families.
