I was born in Durango, Mexico but moved to Tucson, Az when I was 2! I’m the oldest of 5 and also the first in my family to graduate High School! In 2014 I graduated from Pima Community College with a Dental Assisting certificate. With the intention of continuing my education and becoming a Dental Hygienist! After realizing assisting wasn’t for me I turned to the administration side of the dental field for a few years.

My sophomore year at Pima, I volunteered at Higher Ground as a Life Changer every Friday and at the time my younger brothers were also attending the After School Program. The impact the program had them shined through! I myself gained a few lifetime friendships.

I am now a mom myself and have 2 of the sweetest nephews! Coming back to Higher Ground as a Student Support Specialist is exciting! I’m excited for the friendships & partnerships I’ll build as I help empower & transform the community around us!
